north Lawrence // june 25th, 2021
Overcast skies, a romantic first look, intimate vows, and a fun filled reception.. It was a perfect day celebrating such a wonderful couple. Dom and Lauren said "I do" on Friday, June 25th at Peacock Ridge in North Lawrence, Ohio. From the alter overlooking swans, to the restored 1800's barn, this venue is one of the most romantic locations I've been to! Although the weather radar was concerning with storms in the distance, the rain held off and gave us all of the beautiful, diffused light for a ceremony to remember.
Fun Fact #1 - My husband and Dom are actually great friends! He was a groomsmen in their wedding, and Dom was a groomsmen in ours!
It's pretty well known that First Looks are always one of my favorite parts of wedding days, and Dom and Lauren's did not disappoint! The genuine happiness between this couple was infectious! Just look at Dom's expression when he saw Lauren!
Trying to plan a wedding through a global pandemic is no easy task. For months, we were (im)patiently waiting to hear if and when weddings and other events would be back to normal. Dom and Lauren were able to say "I do" in front of all their friends and family (mask free!)
Let's talk about these first dances.. Dom and Lauren's was so sweet and intimate. Shania Twain's "You're Still the One" dances in my head every time I look at their photos!
My dad and I are super close, so I have a super soft spot for daddy/daughter moments. "My Wish" came on, and I started tearing up! I had to hold it together so I could get some shots, but they were definitely tugging at my heart strings!
Dom and his mom playfully danced to the classic "The Way You Look Tonight" by Frank Sinatra, and let me tell you, it was SO CUTE! It was fun and meaningful, and perfectly set the tone for night!
